Terry Cave,
Executive Chairman
Terry brings more than 20 years executive experience in technology companies, identifying and commercialising those technology assets capable of fuelling high growth and profitability. He was CEO of DataCash plc, an AIM listed payment service provider, which grew annual revenues and profits under his leadership by 35% and 70% respectively, and more recently ran the email filtering company, St Bernard Software in EMEA. Prior to these, he ran Centura Software Limited, (successfully sold to Platinum Holdings and re-branded as MBrane) and Siebel prior to the company being acquired by Oracle, where he was VP EMEA and he also held the position of Senior VP EMEA for SalesLogix Corporation.
Daniel Selby,
Finance Director
Daniel qualified as a Chartered Accountant with BDO Stoy Hayward and after qualification worked as a senior investment analyst for both Eurovestech plc (an AIM quoted venture capital fund), and BBC Vecta, part of the corporate venturing arm of the BBC developing technology applications. Daniel has experience in growing companies including fund raising and Company listings. Most recently he was Finance Director of Clear Start UK Ltd, a specialist financial services company. Daniel oversaw rapid growth of sales and earnings before Clear Start was sold to one of the largest companies in the sector. Daniel joined VC-net in Feb 2008
James Stere,
Sales Director
James has over 10 years experience in managing global conferencing services. He started his conferencing career in the US and then returned back to the UK to set up and run the EMEA sales division at Global Crossing Conferencing. Later he was approached to do the same for V-SPAN (now Wire One) for Europe. He was previously the founder and Managing Director of Key Decisions, the leasing company. James was one of the key founder members and joined vc-net in October 2001.
Campbell Letson,
Head of Operations
Campbell comes to vc-net after spending 6 years as the Managing Director of an Australian Business Services ISP. His broad understanding of technologies and means by which they enable solutions arise from a 15+ year foundation in operational and business development management throughout the Middle East, North America, Asia and the Southern Hemisphere.
Bruce Macfarlane,
Non-Executive Director
Bruce is Managing Partner of MMC Ventures, a leading UK venture capital firm focusing on early stage companies in the technology, healthcare and financial services sectors. MMC backed VC World from start-up and is the principal outside shareholder. Prior to co-founding MMC in 2000, Bruce was an investment banker at Bankers Trust and Merrill Lynch. He started his career as a securities lawyer with Skadden Arps in New York, having qualified as a barrister in London.
